 Lidia Schapira MD\, FASCO\, is a Professor of Medicine at Stanford and the 
 Director of the Cancer Survivorship Program at Stanford Cancer Institute an
 d Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Schapira is a board-certified medical on
 cologist with thirty years of clinical experience. She trained in hematolog
 y and oncology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and then com
 pleted a research fellowship at the Division on Aging at Harvard Medical Sc
 hool.  \n\n\n\nDr. Schapira’s clinical practice is dedicated to breast 
 cancer. She was on the faculty at Harvard Medical School and a member of th
 e Breast Oncology Program at the Massachusetts General Hospital from 2002-2
 016 and then joined the faculty at Stanford in 2016. She directs a multidis
 ciplinary research and clinical team focused on optimizing health outcomes 
 for cancer survivors through research\, clinical care\, education and advoc
 acy. Dr. Schapira is the editor of “Essential of Cancer Survivorship” A
  Guide for Medical Professionals published by CRC-Routeledge\, the former E
 ditor-in-Chief of the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s website for
  the public “Cancer.Net\, and serves as Associate Editor for the Journal 
 of Clinical Oncology. She has published over a hundred and fifty original p
 eer reviewed articles in medical journals. \n\n\n\nDr. Schapira was appoin
 ted a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology in 2011 and recei
 ved the Physician of the Year Award from Cancer Care in 2015 for her work i
 n cancer advocacy. She has been invited to lecture in professional meetings
  and multinational forums throughout the world and has championed research 
 and clinical initiatives to integrate mental health care in oncology to imp
 rove health outcomes for people living with and beyond cancer. She has ment
 ored oncologists in the US and globally and served on the Board of Director
 s of the American Society of Psychosocial Oncology and chaired the Psychoso
 cial Interest Group of the Multinational Association for Supportive Care in
  Cancer. A native of Argentina\, Dr. Schapira is fluent in Spanish. \n\n\n
