The Impact of Culturally Competent Cancer Care: A Training for Healthcare Professionals

Attention all health care and non-profit professionals! Sharsheret’s The Impact of Culturally Competent Cancer Care is a one hour training webinar about the importance of culturally competent care for cancer patients. Not simply the politically correct thing to do, or something kind during a difficult time, this type of care has a proven impact on survivorship. The training explores the issues through the example of Jewish women facing breast cancer. The training includes topics such as the diversity of the Jewish community, increased hereditary risk for Jewish women, and cultural, religious and spiritual issues that may impact detection, treatment or survivorship. Woven throughout the presentation will be examples of how this information is relevant to many other communities. Participants will also learn about the free resources Sharsheret can provide to all breast and ovarian cancer patients.

Free CE credit may be available through ASWB, NYSW, ANCC, and ACCME.
